Dam Tom. Sounds like your paving at the scrap yard instead of the power plant!

Spent the morning looking at new potential Ford Trucks to buy. So many options here in Texas.

Well well well, what do we have here. Hello Brett Long time no see! How are you liking Texas so far? Also, how was your move over there? Hopefully you can find another bronco down there and come back to use in the Bronco section!

Howdy Dylan, the move wasn't too bad, tho I had to drive this monster all the way across the country:

I would love another Bronco, I actually have a thread where I am looking at a few trucks. I want to try and get something with decent MPG tho, I'm trying to aim for mid teens. Sadly, there isn't much in my area that fits that description within a reasonable price.

I see. That's pretty cool still and it's good that the move went well. If you get something with a 300 that would be pretty fuel efficient. And it would have the power you need to pull stuff! Unfortunately that might require you to find one with maybe a 302? Then swap in a 300. You could get one with a 351 I guess and sell it or something.

I am looking at both an 83 Bronco with a 351w auto and a 93 F150 300/5spd. I really like the F150 as its a short wheel base 2wd wwitha manual. The owner replaced fuel pump and tank, starter and battery. Says the truck runs rough still, says its only a fuel filter.

I wonder why someone would put all that money/work into a truck and stop at a $7 fuel filter....I hope to get a closer look at it

Hmm the F150 sounds a little fishy but it can't be that hard to figure out. I'm sure it's probably something the Owner overlooked like a sparkplug or something missadjusted... It happens.. A lot. To me...

Bumbitty bump. Today has been alright except I snapped a guitar string . It needed new strings but since I am very green to playing it I didn't want to have to replace them so soon. The tips of my fingers are just starting to numb up to the pain too. We have a local Guitar-Center about 20 minutes away that I'll visit. I want to see how much it would cost to get the strings and see if they think the neck is bent too much. I don't know how/want to adjust it. Messing it up would suck.

a day in the life of a trucker:
delivering a machine to the bank we are going to be doing tomorrow, and as i make the turn onto the street 300 yards away from the bank, something catches my attention. i look in the mirror to see smoke, and FLAMES pouring out of the back of the trailer. the FULLY LOADED TRAILER, WITH 3 PIECES OF MACHINERY ON IT.

one of the deck boards broke, a chain slipped through the hole, fell on the road, and under the tire.
it drug for about a mile before setting the tire on fire.
2 cops, 2 fire trucks, 1 ambulance, and a mess in the road.
i had the fire out with my fire extinguisher before anyone showed up, and it took less than 60 seconds for everyone to get there.
as i drove past the firehouse 200 yards up from the intersection, one of the firemen saw it and they were rolling before i even got the truck stopped.

CT scan on my neck, 'roid rage from meds, diet restrictions because of DII and not being able to take my DII med due to the dye used in the CT, and, of course, my throat still hurts (since 8/10) and it's hard to swallow.

Other than that, pretty darn good

Today isn't bad, left from work at 6AM and noticed a big puddle of oil under my bug. Freaked out about that for an hour or 2 till I went to bed. Woke up and started looking at it and couldn't get it to drip any oil. I'm starting to think some other poor sap lost their oil and I happen to park over it BUT I will need to keep an eye on that. Can't be too safe.
