Mac, the wife and I went to Forrest Hills resort the first week of October. We had a great time. We stayed at the Wilderness Inn, room# 3. The Rib-eye steak for dinner was huge, all the food was very good, especially the squash casserole. Thanks for the recommendation, we will definitely go back. If you decide to go back again, let us know in advance and we might try to get a cabin together.
Visited Amicalola Falls,
The Funky Chicken Art Project,
Carter's Lake,
And did a little fishing at "The Edge of the World".
We also visited Gibbs Gardens on the way home.

Glad you enjoyed it Grubbworm! It is definitely a nice place with beautiful scenery all around. Thanks for posting the pics! I'll let you know if we return there. The wife likes to go to different places all the time. I prefer to go where we KNOW it's good----sometimes causes a bit of contention, if you know what I mean.

I brought my citrus trees indoors, for now they're in the living room - but I want to convert the den to a "QUASI-GREENHOUSE"
I have been thinking for a while about 14" wide by 4 or 5 foot tall window inserts that will go between existing studs on 16" centers. Enough of them in a wrap-around pattern will take advantage of the existing structure, and add blocking top and bottom that for insurance considerations would be considered a "Double Fire Break" built into the walls...
Think of a row of tall windows seperated by the studs so that you have a wrap-around window effect, interrupted only by the 1 1/2" trim between them

Nah - it's a simpler way than rebuilding that wall with beams over bigger windows.
On another note - tonight I SCORED!!!
Traded a Winchester 20 guage for a HIGH POINT .40 S&W
Originally - I only payed a kennedy for the Winny, a "Rabbit Gun"
~I was also offerred a Taurus .40 for the gun - but I have to have a BIG grip or my fingers hang past the bottom. The Taurus looked to me like a Ladies forty....
I DON'T CARE ABOUT THE DOLLAR VALUE
I knew this one fit my hand very well, and I need that
The grip is composite, and weighs nothing - for all practical purposes. The slide is alloy - so it tracks back inline.
It's a pure gas recoil weapon.
High Point model JCP .40, if you want to look it up
~Often referred to as the "BIG UGLY ONE"
*I kinda felt guilty. I only gave eighty or a hunnerd for the Winchester
One of my friends is also a gunsmith, and works at a shop near Brighton, or Covington. ~He's a Nam vet Right across the street. I can find out anything I want to know about any gun and it's "Character"
*Also does hot loads...
At any given time, he has a five gallon bucket of used brass in any caliber you want
Life is good indeed...
