I hear ya I have a 18 Fter + 2 ft dove, 8 lug axles and a 2 5/16 bull dog hitch with elec brakes. Should haul it just fine, and let the duels stay behind the trailer fender wells.

And it that does not work I have access to a BIG goose neck deck over with duels on both rear axles.

We'll get ol Alan squared away......

That should haul it. My 18' just has 3500 lb axles and can get over loaded pretty quick. Especially when the empty trailer weighs 2,000. That only leaves 5,000 so can over load in a hurry. When it get's to the time I can measure the wheel base and be sure it will fit.

Well it's official. We're bugging out. Shari just got her phone call from her "New Employer", Duke University in North Carolina. They offered her more then she was asking for, so we're moving..... soon!
I know this isn't the place, but I'm going to do it anyway.
Ka'Bluey is for sale. First $2500 (or vary close) get's em, the 429 that is in pieces and ready to go to a machine shop, all of the parts that I have in teh garage, and in the shed. Needs.... To.... Happen.... Fast!!! Or it will be a different fate.
It's too far to tow or try to drive em'
If anybody's interested PM me.

Unk Bob

Wow Bob - I don't know what to say. I'm thrilled for Shari, but bummed that you're leaving AND selling KaBluey. I understand completely - that was the same reason I sold my '79 years ago. If I had it - I'd take KaBluey off your hands in a heartbeat. Maybe someone here will step up...

Yeah, me too. I wish I had the cash to get him off ya'. At the very least, he has a home here until you can come back out and get him again. That way you don't have to get worked up about getting him gone. I can even list him for you so there's no deadline for him to go. What's one more lifted dentside in the back yard? Anything I can do to help, just let me know.

I'm glad for Shari, but I'm bummed you're both moving away. I can say this, ....North Carolina is gonna be a much livelier place in a few weeks. You guys will be sorely missed.

Rich and Larry, thanks for the help. Like I said, it'll be tax time before I'm able to get it unless the Bel Air sells.

I had to come in from outside and let my digits warm up a bit. The parts carb Jeff brought over is broken on the top and bottom. I didn't notice it until I started cleaning it. Oh well. I should be able to get the other running pretty good.

Oh and Larry, that '66 I got from you has made several trucks a little cooler. The seats went to '56 Chevy pick up, the engine went in a '32 Ford pick up, most of the parts went to my '66 Ford project, the doors may end up on a '64 Ford. ...it was put to good use for sure.

Alan
Glad the 66 worked out for you. Did the guy ever figure out what size engine it had? Was he able to run it as it was? It seemed to run well when I got it.
Glad you found uses for most of the parts and hopefully made some money.

Jeff, I hooked the heater controls back up, but as far as testing it to see if they produced heat? ...I haven't gotten that far yet.

Larry, I never asked him if he figured out what it was. He never told me, so with my luck, it was a good running 390. I had it running in the '66 and it wasn't smoking or knocking, so I'm pretty sure he just threw it in his truck. I did pretty good on the parts. Between the scrapped carcass, the engine and assorted other parts I sold, I made some money and got the parts I needed for free.

This is hilarious. It's an ad for a local animal shelter. I laughed so hard I cried.

Well dang Unk Bob hate to see you having to relocate, but I understand. Its always been a blast getting together and wrenching around, even the first time ol kabluey got the stob in the tire when we we out on the back 40.

I will relook finances when I get home sun and let you know if I can assume ownership on ol Kabluey. Or like Alan said it can be stored up here till you get a foot hold in NC and see about getting it trailered that way, if that an option?

Let me know the pack out date and I am there with my loading dolly/work gloves and a tear in my eye. Hope the company is covering the relocating expense? See if you can get them to float the bill on moving him?

What is Tim planning on doing with his project car? And he has 2 years of school left right? Rough age to relocate, but he is a great kid and will do fine.

Let us know your departure date when you can.
