update for today, i got my body mounts in today from summit. and also got the frame primered and then put three coats of por15 chasiscoat black on the entire frame. also got my seat and my sub boxes out of my cab and started pulling the mats up. the doghouse is scheduled to be delivered to the shop tomorrow, so i'll definitely have pictures.
my body mounts

the frame after i primed it, it was dark outside once i finished the topcoat, you'll see it eventually

well the front clip from southern truck came today at the shop, i am really happy with it and it looks really good. we brought it home and unpacked it and everything is great. i also took the rubber floor mat, and the back interior panels out of the truck and began removing the sound deadener material from the spots in the floor. i almost got done with that tonight but it was dark when i finished so no pics of it done. once i get all of it out i am coating the inside floor of the cab with por 15. anyways here are some pictures:

haha funny you say that. i looked everywhere around mme for a good donor truck with a zf5 and couldnt find anything, unless someone has all the parts laid out for me in a kit like the trans, computer, pedal cluster, cam shaft, clutch, and trans floor hump and cant remember if the drive shafts are different,. but if not i want to get a donor truck for that so i have all the little stuff in one shot so its not as expensive

JUst an FYI, unless POR is going on bare metal, you are wasting your time and money. It will be only as good as the paint under it..

Nice looking CLEAN nose

yeah i am stripping the cab floor before i por it. and thanks the clip does look really good i am very happy. i have a question for you though brad, when you remove your cabs what do you use? we are not sure which way we want to go about doing but were doing it this weekend. i know some people use 2post above or inground lifts and just pick up the cab but the lifts in our shop are single post on the middle underground. also how do you get the cab on the back so that you have easy access to coat the firewall and underneath with por, i know i have seen that you did it on one of your builds if not multiple, i just wanted to get your opinion on it, thanks i appreciate it

Good project you have going there! When I did my 89 F250 cab I used bed liner paint to seal up the insides and I also resealed the cowl area too. So far about 4 years and no leaks from the cowl area and bed liner paint is holding up really good on the firewall and floors.

On pulling the cab, I got 3 friends and we just picked up the cab and walked if off the rear of the truck as I had the bed off. A stripped cab with no doors, 4 guys can do it no problem, just make sure to use some thick gloves!!! That pinch weld on the cab bottom lived up to it's name...... With doors on, its more of a work out! But can be done.

I pick cabs w a Farm tractor and loader

I know have a LIL bit bigger 3400 w a set of forks I stick in one cab door and out the other

As for getting the cab on its back. Just set it on the ground and flip it on it back. I can do it by myself so I cant see why you cant with another person. The cab corners are one of the strongest parts o the cab so they can take it

awesome thankyou very much. thats how i figured to get it on its back but i wasnt sure on the strength of the corners. i think we are going to use the boom on the towtruck to lift the cab off,
