no injector pulse + no fuel pressure ford 300
I have no injector pulse or fuel pressure. If I bypass the fuel relay then I get fuel pressure but still no injector pulse. I checked all the grounds and they appear to be good. I also used jumper cables to make new grounds in various spots of the engine bay with no luck.
-I have spark
-engine will start for few seconds with engine start
-time is set 10 degrees BTDC
-Replaced fuel pump relay still no luck
Background info:
-1987 F250 4.9
-no alarm in truck
-engine blew a gear driving on the highway. I replaced the gears then put it all together and it wont start. Found out there was no fuel pressure then later found no injector pulse. Truck starts with engine start for a few seconds and then dies.
I searched all over the net and asked my local parts shop, even had a mobile mechanic come over with no luck, so I thought I'd check out what you guys think.
Thanks!

Sounds like you have the small black wire with a green stripe missing from the NEG post of the battery.
Did you replace the ground battery cable and not replace this wire?
If not that you may have replaced the wrong relay. It sounds more like the EEC Power relay than the fuel pump relay. Does the Power Relay that is mounted next to the fuel pump relay click when the key is turned on?
If it does click does the red wire going to all the injectors have power on it with a test light with the key on?
If you have power on red wire going to all the injectors then unplug the computer and check for power with the key on on pins 1, 37 & 57. Then check for a good ground on pins 20, 40 & 60. If you have power on these wires and good grounds then replace the computer.

That is precisely where I was headed with my question. I always carry a spare of this relay in the two Fords I own that are so equipped. It is a somewhat failure-prone part, and clearly it's an easy road-side fix should the need arise.
If you've got a nearby junkyard to pillage, I'd go grab a couple relays from MN-12 T-Birds. They use the same part and it's in the small relay box under the hood (driver side).

Thanks for the quick feedback. Yes the EEC relay clicks when in the on position. I will check what you mentioned above and report back. I did not touch anything around the Neg. terminal of the battery.

37 & 57 were not numbered on the ECM but they are red wires and both lit up.
