I have not posted in awhile, been pretty busy. The other day I had to pick up a load of wood pellets from a friend and did not have my truck. I used Wendy's truck (you can see below the config). The load was to have been about 1400 lbs but it turned out to be a little over 2K lbs, now her truck is rated at payload total of just shy of 1400 lbs, I was overloaded according to specs. Well this little EB just picked up and rolled down the road like it was having fun being loaded. I was taken back by the pick up even being over wt and still got 19 MPGs on the highway. WOW I know what my next truck will be, Chris.
Pulled my boat 20 miles earlier this morning and could barely tell it was back there. TONS AND TONS of power on demand, especially from a dead stop. You can't go wrong with a EB!
I pull a flatbed 21 ft. Kaufman trailer with my 2007 Mustang on it....the Ecoboost doesn't even know it's back there! I get 15 - 16 MPG, pulling the car and trailer depending on the terrain.
Just last week i too made 4 trips to get my wood pellets for the winter! A 2000lb skid each trip and the truck never skipped a beat! As well as racking up 5800 miles this past spring and summer pulling my 7500lb travel trailer. I've been saying this for over a year now and with 13,000 miles on the odometer. This is by far the best truck i have ever owned!!
My 2005 pulls my little travel trailer just fine, and really it's all the truck I need. Every time I read a thread like this I have to keep repeating that, over and over and over.
