Okay so i got a new exhaust on my pickup to quiet it down i ended getting the ultraflow ss to replace the FM 40 series there was no change in sound i was pretty disappointed, I was hoping it had an idle a little bit more quiet and then when you get on it i would scream.... but this is not loud loud but just like my FM.



AB!!!! I know you have the super turbo any comment on how loud it is????

True I know where your coming from loud for me is probably strait pipes and mellow is that low idle where you get a nice tone from the cam so for me I'm on the search for that nice mellow tone but screams when you get on it.

You have a turbo style muffler don't you Harte?

Yeah, I have the Dynomax Turbo muffler. I've been super pleased with it. It's quiet, smooth, and has a good tone to it. I still haven't found any speeds where there's drones to it. When I get on it, the sound really wakes up and means business.

I got it after calling about 5 or 6 exhaust shops asking for muffler advice and every one of them recommended a flowmaster. I'd ask what engines they're used to and they'd say V8s. Finally, the last one I called recommended the turbo muffler. I asked what he had and he said an old Landcruiser with an I6. I knew I'd found my recommendation.

 

Yeah I have to take my pickup back to the exhaust shop I'm sold on what you said that's what I was looking for!

yeah thats getting to be my taste to now i still have a exhaust cutout on my truck so when i wanna be really loud i could be


Dynomax how would this work because i email the company and they told me i would have to send the muffler back to Summit Racing (that's where i purchased it from) and exchange it for the Super Turbo. So I'm kinda confused on that one.
