feeling accomplished
Went back home and worked on the 68 like I usually do..spent more time on the old 300 too. I decided to do some valve cover cleanup and resto..stripped it and repainted it a darker blue. Added some new breathers to it and put on the new valve cover nuts. Looks like a new engine! The engine was supposed to be rebuilt 45000 miles or so ago..popped of the cover...and the valvetrain was lickety clean! Next is to get a broken bolt out..then do the head work..then its cam kit time. Overall..its been a productive successful day. It's small steps like these in a restoration that make it worth while and worth doing.
