Track log of real time temps and Fan speeds

Ok, I think I did this right!!!!!!!

As most know, I have been playing around with the Torque APP for Android phones. There are still some bugs in it, but is doing rather well.

Here is a trip I took last weekend. From Sandy Oregon to Madras Oregon over Government Camp (Mt. Hood) Some decent climbing here. Loaded TT weighing just a little over 8000#. Plus a bunch of stuff (bicycles, generator, air compressor and some air tools (you never know) and some other things).

Started out about 980FT and climbed the first hill to around 3900.

Ambient air was about 85* A/C was on.

I had some ECT readings of 222*-224*. Highest EOT was 233*. This was in T/H. Interesting Fan speed readings. (I have compared Torque Readings with SGII and both are very close to each other) If you think I should have a third way to read for a better comparison, feel free to send me an AE!!!!!!!

Here is the trip I tracked:

Here is the track-log:

I wasn't pushing it very hard. I do have the powermax on it. During a climb it is showing 19-21 boost.

Not sure if I can mark it.

That's a lot of data. I want to do the same and see if the 03 fan strategy is any different. Mine seems to wait for a bit higher temps before the fan ramps up.

Does it only come in .pdf? I tried exporting it to any other format so I could put the data into a plot, but all I get is graphics. It would take a looong time to manually input 38 sheets of data, a .xls Excel file would be awesome.

I have this in .xls.

Send me an e-mail at:

Would love to see what you do with it in Excel.

I have been wondering how much T/H had on when the Fan speeds increase.

When you see yours waiting, are you in T/H?

Yes. Fan starts to ramp up(FSS>1200) around 219 ECT, and isn't running hard until 226.

There are a couple of programs that will convert a PDF file to Excel. Just search PDF to Excel, most work pretty well and you can get a free trial to try it.

My conclusion is..... excel sucks at statistics, and we need someone smarter than me to make sense of all this

That looks exactly like the spreadsheet DashBoss does, although it shows a reading taken every second rather than the date on the left column.

When viewed on an Apple device you get a graph...

And can scroll thru the numbers...

Showing 3 pages of 4 PID's
