ya I was really afraid of the 5.4 when I bought my 09 three weeks ago. I had a 5.4 in a company 3/4 ton that wouldn't do better than 10mpg no matter what. But since I've put about 1000 miles on it I have averaged 17mpg total and highway mileage is consistently over 18mpg at 80

Trip to the North Carolina's Outer Banks last month on almost all highway with speeds around 60 netted me 19.2 mpg. My usual stop and go driving normally is 14-15's summer, 12-13's winter.

My Dad recently got 21.2 MPG on his way back MA from NJ until he hit traffic, hes got a 2010 XLT 4x4, bone stock. Ive gotten as high as 19.5 with my 2008 (hand calculated) on a trip to Niagra Falls from MA.

I think I could get 20 @ 65mph (hope I interpreted your data correctly) with my max tow '09 supercrew 3:73. Never drive 65 for more than a short bit. Being stateside, any distances beyond 20 miles means interstates @75mph. Just made a 500mi trip and got 18.0 per the computer. I am convinced the "larger-than-huge" mirrors on my truck are worth 1/2 mpg at speed. They are as big as the biggest on the current superdutys. Nice towing, but have to fold in for the garage and block view at intersections.
Anyway, I am happy with this truck and fuel economy for its size.

The best I have seen with my truck is 10L/100 on trips of an hour and a half from Clearwater to Kamloops and that is driving 90 to 100klicks and it does it every time we do that short trip

J/K I read it as a 2010 5.4 engined F150 MPG. Maybe b/c I have one?
EDIT: heres my report from early this summer https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...m-pleased.html It has been nice having a company truck for a few months, only put 1k miles on mine since inspection in April. Sittin' in the garage staying clean

i got snake oil that will work better!
a tuner might net you some, maybe .5 to 1.5 mpg more. is it worth the cash it cost to get such a low return out of it? i don't know but only you can make that call. the only true way to increase MPG is to change your driving habits or buy a focus.
