Have a 5.8L engine. Need to rebuild the carb (idles high, has trouble starting). Need a little help identifying the carb and hopefully a nice instruction set. Here's a shot of the list # and such. My first carb rebuild so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Go to napa. They will sell you correct kit...
You'll have a hard time getting a "Holley" rebuild kit from summit that had ALL correct parts. The carb is like a hybrid that Holley made for ford with weird parts. I tried 3 different vacuum diaphragms that didn't work, napa had it on the shelf and was cheaper.

In one of my Holley books (I'm trying to remember so don't quote me) it's a 625 or 635 cfm but has larger throttle plates from a 700-750 carb, different front metering block so gaskets don't work correctly. It's just a weird carb. But napa can look up the part numbers and get you exact rebuild kit for it.
