Are you referring to the large nuts that hold the bearings in. They are not left handed that I know of but they do have a lock washer between them that you have to bend the tab back on to be able to remove the outer lock nut first. The inner (adjusting) nut shouldn't be that tight.
i don't know the size exactly, around 2 1/2 inches or so, I mean nearly 65mm!

Those nuts should be regular thread. Cold chisel and 3lb hammer is the only way I've ever gotten that nut loose. Go in about 1/4in from one corner and nice and easy start an edge. Once you've got a spot that you can push with, then give it a few good hits. Just make sure your not trying to turn the inside nut at the same time. I see on a previous post to bend the tabs back on the lockring, I forgot to mention that.

I have used a chisel and puch as well in days of old. Lately, if I need to buy a tool I buy a tool. I guess it gives me a reason to take a break when I don't have what I need!

Thank you to all.Its so nice to ask on here to get the help.I have now got them off and it looks like the last owners knocked them off.Would you have any idea who would sell the nuts as these look a bit to damaged now.And who would sell the tabs you bend over.If not i will have to get a machine shop to make some. But i know i will be waiting quite some time.
