Thank you sir, I'll try to get the paint off the certification label,I don't understand why one would paint over it. From other research I think truck is under CDL without trailer, but do you think that this truck could pull a 580E backhoe with cdl or farm plate? Thanks

He sent me this from behind the seat so the GVRW is 20500 pounds and anything over 26001 pound is cdl. correct?

Over 26000. 26001 and up requires CDL. That backhoe weighs over 14000 lbs, so you would normally require a CDL. You mention a farm plate--if so, you are exempt within 150 miles of your farm. If you are out doing work for someone else, that won't fly.

SOS - Who Needs a CDL?

The truck will pull it, assuming good brakes on your trailer. But it will be so slow you should probably have a pilot and chase vehicle with lights and signs if there are any hills to climb.

Thanks guys, commercial driver's license (CDL) not much for hills around here but good advice. Trailer and truck brakes will be 100% Farm plate probably wont fly, I'm not looking for work with backhoe but I do drive it from my house to my dads from time to time. Also he wants to gravel his driveway. Truck and hoe are from the 80's lol
