TO ALL MY VETERAN FRIENDS - KNOWN AND UNKNOWN
You may have served in Combat or in non-combat.
You may have retired out or you may have served for a short time.
You may have been a draftee or a volunteer.
You may have served in the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard or the Merchant Marines,
BUT YOU SERVED. You did your job HONORABLY......and for that I am
PROUD to call you BROTHER...........................
You may have served during WWII, Korea , Vietnam , Persian Gulf , Iraq or Afghanistan , But you served, you did not run.
You have a Discharge Certificate with those words "HONORABLY DISCHARGED" two of the most noble words in the world.
Again I am proud to know each and every one of you.
*Today is Band of Brothers' Day*; send this to all your brothers, fathers, sons and fellow veterans you know. Happy Brothers' Day!
To the cool men that have touched my life: Here's to you!! I was never a hero, but I am thankful and proud to have served among them.
A real Brother walks with you when the rest of the world walks on you.
Send to all your Band of Brothers, because the fake ones won't.

As of today - there are 169 veterans who have chosen to be a part of the VETERANS NETWORK here at Ford Truck Enthusiasts, dedicated to going above and beyond what a normal FTE member might do to assist, and to be helpful to another member.
We do not forget our own.
We served because the good of all was in our hearts to start with.
We never forget that freedom isn't free - and that sometimes it takes a bit more than most people know to keep the homefront running smoothly.
We gladly give our time, skills, and knowlege to assist another veteran if that is what needs to be done.
WE ARE the largest single "Social Group" here on FTE now - and I have to grin when I think what one moderator said long ago, that they bet I would forget about it and let it just slide...
You can't forget what is in your heart, hardwired from long years of standing the watch.
My pride runs deep - and my pride in YOU knows no bounds
I salute you all, each and every one. NO VETERAN HERE IS ALONE!!!

That was JFK, and back in the day. Far be it from me to change a single damned thing that man said.
But in the here and now - every single one of you make me proud to know and be one of you. You can take that straight to the bank....
*Oddly enough - I graduated from J. F. Kennedy High School in Glenmont Maryland in 1976. Another "PRIDE" thing

I only served 6 years in Uncle Sammy's Army (1966-1972) but still help all the Veterans I can whenever possible. Just today my son Harley and I spent 8 hours working on a disabled Veterans home, and tomorrow I'll be helping another wheelchair bound Vet with some home repairs. Dutch is right, we help each other out, no matter which service we served in, or how long we served.
The only other community I've ever felt the same way about is FTE!
To all the Vets and those that are still serving, thank you for your service to our great country!
