1. How many of you guys with 99-04's have either a shackle or add-a-leaf leveling kit on your truck.
2. What size rubber to you run with either?
3. Have any pictures?
4. How many say one over the other?
I ran an add-a-leaf on my '99 but it made it a bit stiff. I'm thinking the shackle would keep more of the regular ride but does that change anything up front?
1. I have a shackle kit on the front, rear blocks in the back.
2. Did have 33" now have 35"
3. haha... see below.
4. Shackles are the easiest, but can only be had for up to 3".
depending on the length of shackle you go, you may have to get an adjustable track bar....and shocks. it's one of those "try and see things", as much as I hate to say that
really depends on how much your front leafs have sagged over the years. no 2 trucks will get the same lift with these heavy azz trucks. metal fatigue is a weird thing.
btw, @ A/Ox4 - hard time believing your truck is 10yrs old. love the flag.
Oh yeah it is for subjective to say the least, not just truck to truck but side to side also. Always like input from guys that have "been there" so to speak. They don't look as worn as what was on my '99 as they were very close to negative arch but I would like to keep more of the ride it has now than to let it be stiff. A set of new stock springs and shackles might be the way to go.
A/O you said that you used "blocks in the rear". Why blocks in the rear if you were just leveling it? When I leveled my '99 I didn't do anything to the rear???
And Tylus that is what I am wondering with part of this... the Superlift leveling kit that I put on my '99 came with all the lowering front brackets so I didn't have to worry about any of that. And I agree, nice looking rig...
The rear has the factory 2" block with a 1" block on top. Not my handy work, but its been fine thus far.
Doesnt look like anything on the front is relocated. But I bought the truck with the lift on it.
It should be fine if the blocks were bonded and kept tight but that is exactly what I was wondering. Other than the leveling kit on my '99 I've never lifted a tow rig. The leveling kit I put on it didn't effect it towing one iota. Do you tow much with yours?

I do tow very regularly. Multiple times per week. Nothing extreme though. I also off road and that can be very bumpy with my air bags. The blocks have never moved or caused any problems.
