$243.50 Fuel Bill?!!

That's my fuel bill now that I have to fill my newly installed 65 gallon Titan tank!

The 30 gal. tank was just not enough range for towing a 48'er!! I should be able to get 9+ hours before fill-ups now...

I had to relocate all my airbag controls because I had mounted them on the inside of the frame forward of the "old" tank. It wasn't a huge deal, just more time consuming and a nuisance. The tank goes from the DEF tank and just about touched the transfer case skid plate.

Thanks!

It's funny, when I was researching this; it seems everyone that had done the swap to the Titan tank were the CC SB (50 gal.) tank and hadn't seen a mention of the the LB tank. Okay, maybe I think there was one, but...now the 65ers are coming out of the woodwork.

I'm glad I did it, now I'm working on finding a dealer or shop that can/will update my DTE programming.

There were a series of post about a year ago.
I picked mine up a Titan's factory, and had it installed there (at the Chevy dealer next door they work with). The tech there has installed 1000's of these, and knocked it out quickly & professionally.

Some Ford dealer will install the MTE with no questions, some at N/C, some for shop time, some No WAY.

Mine was N/C since I gave them the instructions, and they were flashing my tranny anyway.

Good Luck

It's definitely a MUST have for anyone towing a heavy Fiver a long distance. You can pass a gas station and when you aren't towing, you can probably go awhile before you have to fill up again.

If I ever buy my Excursion a Truck sibling, this will be one of the first mods as I'm quite spoiled with the driving/towing distance the 44 gallon tank on my Excursion alows

I'm travelling from NJ to Utah to do some Elk hunting next week. The thought of filling up twice on the way is pretty intriguing.

Absolutely!!

The tank is a little pricey, but worth it in my opinion!
