Fuel filler neck

Dropped my 76s tank (behind axle, no gas door) yesterday to put in the new to me one, filler hose basically disintigrated and the filler neck is the rustiest thing I have ever encountered. I can only find a replacement hose for 50 friggin dollars. No filler necks though.

I can find a hose, but not the metal filler neck. Dennis carpenter doesn't have it, i'll check lmc but I doubt they will either. Read something about using the neck from a mustang, but it looks like i'd need a custom hose... I really need the truck so I can un-bury my foundation since a po thought it,was smart to raise the gravel driveway 8" over the foundation.

Without more info on your truck, I searched for the most common one, '76 F100, 2WD, styleside bed, w/ evap emissions, aft axle tank.
Pipe assy., fuel tank filler

No dealer or obsolete supplier has one and no one reproduces them.
On my restoration project I have pretty much the same problem with the filler neck. Structurally it's fine but inside, the filler neck is really rusty.
What I'm planning on doing is clean and seal the neck with this POR-15 product from Eastwood. As small as it is, the motorcycle size should be more than enough.

YES IT IS TRUE!

You can buy the hose but not the filler neck. If you find someone that makes it share with everyone please.

i just replaced my rear tank on my 79 f150 superCab, i ordered the Filler hose from LMC truck and was really disappointed with it. It fits alright but is just a standard hose nothing special for $50 bucks plus shipping to Australia. i am now getting my local truck shop to do a custom hose that is of a better quality. It will be cheaper than what i spend on from LMC......everything else i have ordered was good.

I stand corrected!

Nice find. There have been a lot of people looking for these in the past!

You may want to make a new thread with a title like "replacement filler necks available!"
