Good Morning Everybody!

RC, Cora used three chances up already. The ad is on CL right now. I may just scrap it if it doesn't sell quickly. I don't give crap anymore. Some things happened last night that ticked me off to no end. I am so done.

Sorry to hear that, Alan.

I got the heads for the 5.3 all cleaned up. Now I need to get rings, bearings, gaskets, etc to get it back together.

Great news RC! I'll have to cook up a good excuse when it gets there to come pick it up. You could use another pair of hands for a while couldn't ya?

Alan - I hope you're not coming down with what I had. I was laid up for most of the week. I went in to work for a few hours on Wednesday and didn't go back until Friday. I'm just now getting enough energy to get things done.

Speaking of which, I just got the vacuum line on the van finished and it works better than the factory setup. Now I just need to put the dash back together and it will be finished.

Well - I need to get back to work...

I HATE panel painting. I have some weird marks in the paint where I re-cleared the bumper covers. The repair looks fine, but the paint doesn't. I'm sick, I don't feel well and I'm still mad from yesterday. Now the paint job sucks. Oh, ...and I got a wicked run in the clear on the front bumper cover. I'll just tell her to bring it back in a month and I'll re-shoot it. If I keep messing with it this time, I'll make it worse and I'll go ballistic to boot. This just isn't my week.

Alan just do a mini under that table tap out for a few days, no harm, no foul in that. Get healed up and get your head right and go back at it.

Dave hurray for fixing the van, so yea get the dash back together already...jeesh. JK

Good afternoon to all there, its like 22:40 here and I am just off work from my first round of night flights.

I rotated to nights for 2 weeks to get some NVG time built up and get caught up on evals on some of the crewchiefs.

Yeah, Yeah, Rich. I got it back together.

I thought I had kicked most of the bug when I woke up this morning, but after an hour of trying to organize the disaster I call my garage, I need to sit a moment. I really want to get it done so I can get busy on the '71, but I'm taking the time to organize everything before I do.

Have I mentioned that organization and I are not on friendly terms most of the time?

Well, whether it was the same bug or not, something pretty thoroughly kicked me in the can this week. Sheesh.

I'm actually feeling much better, but still no appetite and cannot sleep for beans.

I'm going to take some more medicine in about 90 minutes, along with a sleeping pill....and pray for some rest...

I had to get up and blow my nose every hour, on the hour. I do that anyway, (get up I mean) so it wasn't a big deal, but my nose is getting raw. The lady came and picked up her car. Of course she saw it in the shade at the end of the day and thought it looked fantastic. I told her to just wait until the sun hits it, she'll change her tune. She's gonna bring it back in a month so I can re-shoot both bumper covers. Luckily, I have enough paint left over to do that.

Hey Terry - that sounds a lot like what I had. Monday night I didn't get to sleep until 3 am and I'm not sure when I finally got to sleep the rest of the week. I've spent most of this week sleeping in a recliner. Not the most comfortable, but I can breathe that way.

Hang in there everyone! At the rate we're going, folks are going to think we're nothing but a bunch of sickos.

I got some of my axle swap parts painted tonight!
Trying to cut the cast axle perches off. Did not have very good luck with hot wrench, Did have more luck with the die grinder and a cut off wheel but still took to long. I need to find a better way, got any ideas?

Perseverance and patience, Ches. There's no hidden welds, so just cut the welds most of the way through and beat the perch off with a big friggin' hammer. Just don't cut the tube while trying to cut the perch off. Then grind what's left of the welds smooth after the perch is out of your way. WEAR SAFETY GLASSES! If a chunk of that cast breaks off and gets you in the peeper, you'll lose the eye for sure. Honestly, I'd wear a grinders face shield. Remember, steel bends, cast shatters.

Good Morning Everybody!

I feel like poop, but a better, more formed poop than yesterday. I started sleeping a couple hours at a time and my nose isn't running as much.

Dave, I'm sure people already thought we were a bunch of sickos.

I have a guy that's supposed to be here in a couple hours to look at the '67 Impala. Hopefully he buys it so I can make a steel run tomorrow. It's a big list of materials this time.

I got the lower control arms for the Chevelle finished up in between waiting for paint to dry yesterday. I'm gonna do the uppers and repaint the new springs today and hopefully get the car back on the ground.

Well, after 2 weeks off work, 1 sitting on a cot in the hospital and 1 on the couch next to my brother's hospital bed at home, 1400 miles of driving, and way too much money spent...I am finally back at work today. Spent the first hour and a half trying to get logged in before saying fuggit and going to get some coffee and breakfast....

I've jumped on here a few times to read a little bit, anything big I missed? Still need to get out and meet some of you folks.

Welcome back RubenK.

Nothing terribly big - unless you count Alan being ready to ship his oldest off to Zanzibar or somewhere thereabouts.
