Getting my 5.4 rebuilt by Accurate Engines

Head gaskets are starting to go on my 99 superduty. After doing some research I settled on getting my motor completely rebuilt. I chose to go with Accurate Engines out of Michigan for the rebuild. I know that they have mixed reviews but Allan(the guy I've delt with over the phone) answered all my questions very professionaly and has been extremely helpful. All rebuilds carry a 3yr unlimited mileage warrenty. They'll be picking my truck up next week. I'll let you guys know how it all goes. Anyone else deal with Accurate Engines before?

how much are they charging?

I've had a ton of luck with junkyard motors. Never spent over $900 for a running turnkey motor. Do the swap myself and it's back on the road in 2-3 days

Around $3800. But that includes the cost of them picking up my truck, rebuilding the motor, and then delivering it back to me. They are also doing a few other things while they have the truck too.

best of luck with them. I'm too much of a tightwad. That's at least 3 different motors I could swap for that $$$

What other things are you having done?
Could make a bit of $$ in the basic cost.

Having plugs replaced, water pump replaced, serpentine belt replaced, torque converter flushed, and anything else they find needing replacement. All gaskets used are felpro and all block and head repair/machining is done in house. I'll be getting a call tomorrow with the "semi final" over all cost.
