Quick pickup tube question
I know there are tons of threads on this but Im curiose. My 87 does not have shower heads in either thank. My tubes are both about even length and one tube has a little rubber triangle on the end. Is this correct?
Am I missing the heads? The tubes do not look broken or anythying, infact they look brand new. I could not find a good pic any where. If you google it it shows 40 diffirent ones. Thanks

Yeah, they rotted and fell off. You'll notice if you run it to empty and fill it up, it will only take around 14 gallons.
You can replace it with a piece of diesel rated fuel line with a V notched in the bottom so it doesn't suction to the bottom of the tank. Don't use the cheap stuff, I made that mistake and now I'm right back where I started, and found bits of rubber in the inline filters.

The tube with the rubber triangle is the return line, it works like a one-way valve to let the fuel drain down, but not let air back up into the system. That tubes are close to the same length, then the showerhead went all the way to the bottom of the fuel suction line. So you're missing the showerhead, and should figure something out like adding a piece of fuel line. A few others have tried different things if you do a search here.
