Help - Where is my fuse panel located?

The owner's manual for my 2012 STX 4x4 is of no help to a smipleton like me. I would really appreciate it if someone could head me in the right direction. There is nothing in my truck that resembles the illustration. Thanks.

Michael

In the table of contents it does not list fuse box? It is either under the dash or under in the engine compartment.

From the owners manual:

Passenger Compartment Fuse Panel
The fuse panel is located under the right-hand side of the instrument
panel.
To remove the trim panel for access
to the fuse box, pull the panel
toward you and swing it out away
from the side and remove it. To
reinstall it, line up the tabs with the
grooves on the panel, then push it
shut.

Open the passenger door and look at the side wall of the foot well.
The panel in the instructions is just inside the door opening.

My owners manual says there are two fuse panels. I know where the one under the hood is. I need the one that is supposedly somewhere under the instrument panel.

If you are sitting in the drivers seat and hold out your right hand the panel is under that side of the dash.
The term instrument panel is engineer speak for the entire fixture we customers call the dashboard.

Looks to me he got EXACTLY the advice needed, to the point he found the fuse panel being sought. So WHO is reading this correctly?

Alls anyone needed to say was......."sit in the passenger seat and the fuse panel will be beside your right foot".....that would have been way easier

.....Which is how the manual ought to say it, but since when have "manual writers" had common sense? ......which is really not all that common anymore. Oh well.....

It could be worst. Like under the back seat. Try ripping the seat out according to directions is akin to pulling teeth. Without any anesthesia.

It could either be the plug going to the bed or the Multifuntion switch on the steering column.
At least when you refresh a 5.5 year old thread find one that pertains to your problem
