I have a 1985 Ford f150, with the 5.0 EFI "n" code engine. the problem is, that it will not start. It was running fine, and i came out one morning to find that the battery was dead. So, i jump started it, and all was great, then it just shut off. I love this truck, and have bought everything i can afford short of another truck. I have fuel, fire, compression, and it will not start. turns over, but will not start. i have replaced the following: key switch, ignition switch, fuel pump on frame, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, computer, control module mounted to distributor, timing chain, and both gears, coil, battery, starter, fuel filter on frame rail, one injector, one injector plug. it is in time by the book, which was checked both by piston being at tdc, as well as by the crankshaft, and the rotor button points to number one on the cap. And I now have replaced everything that could go bad over the next 20 years. i know it has fuel, fire, and it was just a shade out of time, and shot flames out of the exhaust, so compression, is there. Now, i also had the codes checked, of which there are none. What's the reason for my "new" truck not running?
yes, i can. it was idling, and just shut off on its own. yes there was power to the cab, and all other items. it acted like someone turned off the key. it turned over, and would not start. after replacing all those parts, it still just turns over, and doesn't start.
and the code reader, gave me no codes at all. none. i called the co., that makes the reader, and the genius on the other end, told me nothing was wrong with my truck if the engine light wasn't on. i don't have a check engine light.
Might nose around that site and read about the stator (pickup) and how to test them. This is the device inside the distributor that tells the computer when the #1 cylinder has passed by.
Given your description and everything that you've done/replaced, I would be looking for faulty or shorted wiring - assuming everything else is replaced correctly and functional.

Check the EEC Power relay and wires around it. Report back what you find.
Go to the section where it says 2-digit codes, at the link CTUBUTIS gave you, then click on "No-code".
