Okay guys and girls, here in Kentucky you know we have the Kentucky Derby. The week prior during the Derby Festival we have the "Great Balloon Race". Now in the 70's and 80's there was a special edition of Ford trucks around here that had a decal on the bed with a Rat-Fink style truck doing a big burnout with the words "The Chaser" above it. These were designed to commemorate the practice of "chasing" the hot air balloons during the race. Does anyone on here have a clue to what I'm talking about? If you do, do you know where I could find a pic of the decal? I'm wanting to show my wife.
Although that is kinda cool, not what I'm looking for. The trucks I'm talking about are not that elaborate. The ones I saw in my youth had just the decal on the rear quarter on solid color paint. Thanks for the effort though LOL

I remember the chaser trucks! We had just moved from Texas to Louisville Kentucky in 1977. I remember going to the ford dealership and looking at new trucks with my dad. They had two chaser editions in the showroom. They were both two tone in color . One was Orange and white. The other was yellow and white. They were both heavily optioned f150's with aluminum mag wheels, like the kind that the freewheelin package had. They had a decal on the side of the bed, at the rear. The decal read: "The Chaser" which was underneath a caricature of a truck and what I remember as a balloon. Maybe I'm wrong about the balloon, but that is what sticks in my head. I loved those trucks. I am still in louisville ky, but I have not seen a chaser since the 80's. I would love to see one of those restored! I can't help with the pic, but I do remember them!
