That looks really nice too. I do not want any woodgrain in mine, but I might do some sort of charcoal insert on the door panels where the woodgrain is.

I guess either way will look good.

I need some help. I am looking for a timing tab for a 460. Anyone got one?

I believe I am going to have a clearance issue with my tall valve covers. It's not in the cards to put in a smaller brake booster right now. I really wanted some ford racing valve covers, but apparently the tall ones are the only ones that will fit the 460.

What other type of regular height valve covers look nice? Chrome/Aluminum.

Looking good! Keep the work rolling!

Some old M/T valve covers look awesome! But they are kinda hard to find and they are usually pricey. I think they are taller too.

Just to add to the chassis exit headers. I have serious problems with some brands because it comes very close to the starter and hot exhaust pipes next to a starter is bound to cause problems. But, I have a 390 and that may be different for a 460 I'm not sure.

I have some edelbrock valve covers on mine now. They are not a tall valve cover. I may be pulling mine off soon and installing some tall covers. It'll be a couple of weeks but let me know if you're interested in them.

Is there a reason why you are switching to tall covers? Wont you run into the same clearance issues I am or are you getting/have a smaller diameter brake booster?

Yea, I am aware of the heat issues. I will wrap a heat blanket around the starter and just pray it holds up. I would rather replace a starter then cut through my fenders/rub on my tires.

I got some tall valve covers from maulmaul and want to try them out. He said they interfered with his stock heater box. I have an aftermarket ac unit so I hope I'm fine. We'll see...

Let me know how they work. I have been reading around and saw that they will hit on the oem a/c unit and the brake booster unless you do a smaller booster swap.

Actually, I should have mine tomorrow and can see if they will work. I hope they do, but I dont think they will fit.

My headers were FINALLY shipped on Friday. Hopefully they are here today, Tuesday the 20th, but I am guessing it will be Wednesday. It sucks having to get excited about parts being shipped. lol

If I can avoid L&L for any future purposes, I will.

After I called on the phone after being told my headers were expected to ship July 26th, August 1st, and August 12th I was told on the phone that they would absolutely be shipped 100% for sure on the 16th. I get my tracking number and the package was scanned on the 20th.

I don't have a problem waiting for parts, but don't tell me you are going to do something 5 TIMES and then not do it. Unbelievable. So pissed about this.

I had the same problem with my suspension lift. My only problem was that it got worse and at the end I rather insisted on a refund to avoid any more disappointment. But no that feeling. Hope you get your parts soon!

Not too much out there for good shorty valve covers for a 460. Most everything is tall to fit roller rockers. There are some cheap stamped steel ones but for the price I just cleaned up and painted my Power By Ford stockers. Think Edelbrock makes a set of short covers in chrome for about $50. Too much chrome for me. I like the look of the finned covers but as already stated, $$$ and harder to find.
