As much as I hate to see my 98 Ranger go I`m after more room and comfort. Hopefully I don`t have to give up too much in terms of fuel economy...

If that truck is as efficient as my '08 was, you'll be fine. I would get consistantly 18mpg around town and 22 on the highway. I did get 25mpg on 4 consecutive tanks crossing Canada one year, but that was with cruise set at 98km/h in northern Ontario where the speed limits are 90km/h... My Ecoboost doesn't get as good fuel economy as my '08 5.4L did...

That`s only a little less that my Ranger so I`ll be happy if it happens. I`m surprised about your Ecoboost, I wonder what a 5.0 would be like on fuel.

Ive always said that a half ton was a far better choice then a ranger, and the fuel mileage wasnt all that different.

Youll love the truck, it looks nice.

Once the novelty wears off I`ll trade you my 05 for your Uni and then I`ll have two, even one with a big back window.
While I like the Supercrew alot I`m selling my Ranger just yet since it has a 6 ft box and the Supercrew has a shorter box so it doesn`t haul my quad as nicely.

after having the 5.5' box in my '02 s'crew, I swore I wouldn't have that short a box again. For a contractor/builder, that longer box sure is necessary. If they made a F150 Crew/8' box I'd have one of those...

That super short box almost stopped me from buying this truck but in the end I decided to go for it, other than that I`m happy with it.

you will enjoy it. I've heard from some peeps that it makes driving/parking in the city much easier with the shorter truck. I can understand that.

I sure hate the looks of a long box, but agree they are super handy!

My quads and snowmobiles all fit in the back of my shortbox as well as on a trailer, so I never really needed the extra 2 feet of a long box.

Ideally for me it would be a Supercab with a 6.5 box but price was good and this Supercrew is in excellent shape so I didn't want turn it down.
I do have a car trailer and a double wide skidoo trailer plus still have my Ranger plus my 93 F150 work truck with the regular cab 8 ft box.

I find that most things are easier to haul with a trailer anyways. Plus for me I always have doubles, two quads, two sleds, etc.

To me it seems so much simpler just to load on a truck and go rather than dragging a trailer along for afew hundred miles but then again I can even get more toys on a car trailer.
