Still making pretty good progress. Hopefully will get an early start on it tomorrow and maybe fire her up

Thought I'd get a shot of the new rockers...Comp Hyd. Rollers

Acessories all on, belt, Exhuast hooked up sans the cutout.

The new valve covers for the motor, of course the stock bolts aren't long enough, and they don't send longer ones with the new valve covers ...oh well.

Thanks guys, Yea...I was gonna go with a different, oldschool style finned one. But I was on the BRonco graveyard website and saw these...well I liked them more lol.

I wouldn't mind a lot of them parts for my M... If i had those covers though, i think i would shoot them black. The silver would be good but the black would compliment the green intake a little better.

Put in some lock cylinders on the doors. Now all the locks are the same. No more two keys. Man the back window travels up and down nice now.

I have done nothing.. I glanced at it and didn't see any eggs dripping off it and i didn't see any broken windows so it doesn't concern me.

Finished welding the track in the back window so it goes up and down straight and not sideways

Thats always good to have the window roll up straight... I had one of the regulator arms fall off once and i had a hard time getting it to roll up correctly.

Aint much left now...hung the core support, rad, the new trans lines and cooler. Wired in the 6AL box, starter, front clip. only got to fill the fluids, plugs and wires, And she shoudl be good to run. the hood and radio are not necessary right away.

Um...dont mind my finger lol.

It looks good so far, it will probably feel great when you can drive it again.

Got it running today. Took it for a testrun around the neighborhood. She still needs some fine tuning, timing, recheck fluids and what not. But she is running..and sounds really good. Once I get everything squared away. Ill be running it up to my exhaust guy to weld in the cutout.

Alright cool beans man, glad to hear it is going well so far. It would be so nice to one day get my 351M built into a 400 with all new parts Too bad that kind of thing is expensive.

I bought a Harbor Freight 20 ton press so I can get back to work swapping U-joints in the axle shafts and putting the bearings together in the front hubs. I know it normally not needed but I have tried every way I know to get the U-joints out but they won't budge. I'm pretty sure they are 1978 factory original parts. Local shop wanted $100 to press it all apart for me, and that doesn't include the passenger side that I haven't taken apart or putting the new joints back in.
The press was on sale for $200 and I had a 20% off coupon so I was out the door at $160 plus tax. It took me 20 min to set it up and bleed the air out of the jack and it is ready to go. It is family time now so I will try it out tomorrow with the U-joints. I'll probably just find some stuff to smash for fun after that.
