Made a new rtv gasket for the rear differential, installed a new auto-adjuster on the pass. side rear brake, found out the axle seal on that side failed again...

Bought 2 economical 6" Off Road 55w lights for $25 total.. and then painted them flat black as I read several reports of rusting of the economical metal and chrome plating..

Waiting on my KC smiley covers to get here for them..

Well, the rear brakes seem to be working better, and the new gasket looks like it won't leak, I already refilled the diff. and tested the truck, it passed, but a long trip will reveal if the new gasket is fine and how bad is the axle seal problem. I'm ready to make my A/C operational tomorrow .

All I did was put gas in the bronco. Spent $30 and didn't even hit half a tank. But I was so low on gas that I was afraid it would die just moving it.

I washed mine.

Saw last night gas went down to $3.66

A buddy of mine called me at 2AM, right when I was laying down for the night, and said he was stuck. Went out there and he was in a harrowed field. I went out and it got soupy and I was able to hook up to him but he was bottomed out and I got him to move a foot. My transfer case keeps popping out of 4WD.

He didn't want me to get stuck any more because I did one time until they pushed me (two guy)..my guess is my grip on tires isn't good and my 4wd transfer case acting up PLUS a stupid open differential. Looks like I'm going to buy a locker and some good tires one day. Other than that I got out of places another friends truck couldn't go through. LOL. Doesn't make sense.

It started snowing/sleeting here a little bit this morning...strange.

Looked for quad suspension shocks for the front.. Too damn expensive if the shock is forward of the front axle.. $9 compared to $17 for the ones I need.. All I have left in the parts box is a dist cap and rotor lol.. Egr and pcv can wait since there is nothing wrong with either.. Need the find a bolt to fit the back of the head to plug it,. So I can't get rid of the rest of this emission junk

Did rotor and cap.. Big deal.. Waiting on pcv but I gotta see what mine looks like before I put a new one in.. I barely ha e anything left in my rock auto box lol.. Except egr.. Timing cover gasket.. Lower rad hose.. And 2 shocks that were extra for another project.. Cleaned up all the gunk that was below the lower intake above the water pump.. Can find this damn coolant leak

Replaced the steering box with a remaned from bronco graveyard. its the third box ive installed(between 2 broncos). I have to say this one feels insanely firm, really comfortable. The old one had been screwed for awhile now. took it down to the shop and had it aligned. drives like a new truck

Got my soft top in, hoping for nice weather this weekend, calling for a foot of snow tomorrow night

Drove it to the parts store to get these.

Pens are for Mock up purposes only

They are 3" to 21/2" reducers. It's all they had at O'Reilly's so I just grabbed them. I figure they will work at least for getting the flex pipe to cinch down to it. If not, I can get a refund or trade for a different set. Next I need to dig to my PB Blaster and Deep Creep sprays and start soaking them manifold bolts. Also I need to begin sanding and painting the headers with the heat resistant paint. If I have some left over, maybe I will do the mufflers too.

Today It looks like it might rain and I have some work to do on a bathroom renovation project so the exhaust will be put on hold for now. I have everything I need though to get the headers on and put my current flex pipe onto that.

I just used pens for my headers. Once they melt it's a nice tight fit.

I got one cat off and the one thats left is gutted and installed a flowmaster 40. So it is straight exhaust all the way to the muffler.
