I fired the Zebra up and drove around the neighborhood. I had planned to take it to my shop but I saw a couple state troopers sitting in the lot next to my shops driveway so I figured better not chance going that way.
So I started my brakes and when I went to get the drums turned, they are deemed unturnable! Legally Napa cannot turn them. So it looks like I will be saving for some new drums... On a better note, I finally got anti-seize for bolts.
Attemped to install the A/C system, new Dryer, new condenser, new orifice tube, new HNBR o-rings, new compressor. As always, I got screwed half way, so I can't use my truck nor finish the job... The compressor I was sold as a direct fit (imported from the US) will need a custom adapting plate. So far I've replaced the Dryer/filter, which gave quite a fight, the orifice tube, and every o-ring along the way. The good news is there aren't any signals of the black death in the lines, the tube, or any of the other parts, so the system is relatively clean. The condenser seems like it can also be hard to work on, but we'll see.
I have a question: does the A/C system in the Bronco have a "shrader valve"?. I just read about it and I'm kind of concerned since I don't even know where it's located.

Should have 2, one on the high side and a low side. Usually covered by a plastic screw on cap.
Found this in another thread. It's for an E-series van but this is what the low/high side valves look like.

Also, Manfred what kind of bushings did you get for the ol' trac bar issue? When I did mine I used Moog bushings since they won't deteriorate from oil. After that and some new tires TGM drove like a new truck as well, it was amazing.
That looks pretty good actually. Since my TG is probably going to suffer more scrapes from dragging my tool box across it, I don't plan to do any fancy covers on it.
