Operator required steering repair and removal of body rot;

had a nickel sized carcinoma removed from my nose and a total right shoulder replacement so not much been done to the bronco in a while.

Ordered a Continental 4061010 serpentine belt on-line. Couldn't find one locally. I guess Continental bought out Goodyear belts. Hopefully they didn't change the old "Gatorback style" belt. Gonna try and get my windows tinted this weekend.

Been working my new 3/4 ton drivelines hard last few weeks, pulling 3 ton loads of scrap steel into recycling and hauling loads of firewood to customers. I will try to upload some updated pictures, bunches on the phone, not many on the laptop. My kid is flying in this weekend from Los Angeles, he can't wait to give it a test drive! Maybe will have him transfer pics for me.

Drove it to work. It's nice now that it's running on all 8 cylinders. Next is to chop off the roof and weld on one that hasn't been smashed by a tree.

That's a cool idea, but I like the enclosed rear section. It's my two door wagon only with 4 wheel drive.

"...enclosed rear..."
that model has glass (& removable) top, no? The tree or whatever hit the frnt / steel section, crushed it..
U can remove it (rear) & the frnt is a metal enclosure (over pass compartment).
I wuz tryin to say:
U can extend it (glass) to windshield to avoid the need to find a donner 4 the metal cab-over section by building that section w/glass.
It is an easier, a DIY solution...
Anyway, good luck w/whatever solution U come up with !

Yes, I understand. It would be interesting to build it that way! Thanks. However, I believe the roof is an integral part of stiffening the body. Since, the "cave-in", I can here the roof "bonking" (flexing) when the truck is on uneven ground or going around corners.

Bruners4 is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
Replaced the driver's bucket seat frame because it was broken. Not quite as broken as this guys Bronco!
