just took off the huge i beam front bumper that someone made. was gonna put a stock chrome one back it. the chrome one , just like ever other bumper i have dealt with has 4 carriage bolts that go thru the face of the bumper. my chassis does not have the same setup it had bolts thru the side of frame. are they the same as a f150? took it off a 76 and mine is a 76 250. maybe they had another bracket or something. im not sure.
Is your F250 4WD? They used a bracket that bolts to the frame to move the bumper forward enough to clear the leaf springs.
Here's the illustration from the parts catalog.
