Can't find evaporator core drain tube on 2002 Sport Trac
I've got my truck jacked up, right front wheel removed, wheel cowling/mud guard pulled back. I can look straight up and see the bottom of the evaporator. I know its clogged (bad odor when AC starts up and no water draining below the car. I can actually see water leaking out of the point where the two halves of the evaporator cover mate at the very rear part of the evaporator.) But I see no drain. I've pulled the insulation back a little and still don't see it.
On the "inboard" side of the evaporator, there is a small black plastic molded round piece sticking out (pointing towards the tranny) that goes through the insulation. It looks like a tube could fit over this so I'm wondering if this is the drain exit and my tube is lost? But, I've tried sticking a thin piece of wire (size of a small pin) into the end of this and I find no obvious opening. Maybe it is just clogged with a very firm clog? Or am I barking up the wrong tree?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Answering my own question. The drain actually extends from the part of the evaporator casing that is inside the truck. It goes through the firewall and sticks out about an inch. It's a black solid plastic tube about 1/2 inch diameter. It is almost directly above the exhaust pipe. Definitely easiest to get to by removing the right front tire and pulling the plastic wheel cowling forward (after removing the screws and bolts holding it in place.
