This is prolly a 1 page thread at most
Good morning guys!
I just got a PM from Roy, he sounds as if the doctors that are helping him received their MD's out of a box of cracker jacks
I've never not recouped the dollars spent on a diesel engine upfront when it was time to sell it or trade it. I do keep my trucks at least 4-5 years though. That makes a difference. I think if I traded every 2 or 3 it would be a bit different.

Howdy guys!!
I hope Roy is feeling better!
Hi Chad, it's oil but I don't yet know where it's coming from. Too cold to crawl under there right now. I think it's too far forward to be coming from the turbo.
At this point it's probably cheaper to get a new driveway than a new truck
We have a decent amount of snow here this winter. Could always use more but it's better than it had been for the last 3 years!!
Have a good weekend everyone

Hi guys, Thanks checking in Darren and the snow photos!
We got maybe 6 to 8" of snow last night and the is wind blowing it around this morning.
Checking out some of the news stories it looks nasty over on the West side of the state.
Difference between the west side of the state and the east side:
West Side weather forecast says 3-5 inches of snow:
Everyone panics and raids the shelves at the grocery story, fights over two pallets of ice-melt at the local farm and ranch store, and who knows what other mayhem ensues... (true story from several friends that have texted me today describing said mayhem and madness)
East Side:
3-5 inches: People say "It's about time we get some snow around here, this has been a dry and unusually warm winter." (true story)

Yeah I'm on the West side of WA, all I'm going to say is if we have an actual disaster hopefully everyone will be well prepared after practicing in stuff like this
I was in Minnesota this time last year when they got that blizzard, the big difference between states like that and ours is they know how to deal with snow. Over night I think they got over a foot of snow but by mid afternoon the roads were clear and easy to drive on. Here we have 5-6" now and some roads are just un driveable. They will plow the snow so your on a nice slipper sheet of ice to make it even worse to drive on.

I'm guessing vacuum pump if it's toward the front of the engine.

6leaker - the 6.7's are better because they have pilot injection and much better glow plug system. And if you think it's tough to start a cold 6.0, try starting a 7.3... Even though, I do remember my 6.0 being really, really slow until it warmed up and this was when I had one in Miami.
I didn't look back on posts - but making sure we all have Roy in our thoughts as I hear he is going through a rough patch right now.
I am in the process of buying a house that's horse property - granted I don't plan on having horses anytime soon. I do plan on a small farm (finally).
