Praying for a successful surgery tomorrow Roy.
Tim..hope the knee is doing OK.

Wife is doing OK but still taking off work to make sure she gets better.
Had to get some codine cough syrup to make sure I can sleep more then 4 hrs tonight. Getting ready to take my first taste of it shortly! We have the first camping trip planed for the first weekend in March so that's coming up quick.

The camping trip sounds fun! Glad to hear that your wife is doing better.

I wish I could tell you I was doing good. I slept pretty good last night, but the darn knee flared up this evening just can't seem to get to sleep tonight!

I'm on the other side though, just a matter of time! Praying for Roy!

Good luck Sailor!!!

Just one more day until camping...of course, it is supposed to rain most of the weekend. BUT, I will not be at work!!
The rain has been relentless here for the last three weeks. Only two days without some sort of it.

Off to work!!

I do understand the pain, woke up at 1:00 after rolling on my shoulder for a while.

Now I get to go out and start the truck to head to site. Work starts at 6:30 and I got a 40 minute drive in. It’s a balmy 4F here in Edmonton. Construction guys messed up the gas system and the fuel vents so going to be shut in for 2 weeks when they start to fix it. Till then trying to get all our high voltage checks and synch to the grid. Should get that today though. The customer failed to follow instructions so they melted $15,000.00 of mist eliminators in the filter house. What joys.

Good morning guys!

Hope the surgery goes well Roy..praying for you!

Tim hope the knee lets you get some sleep...not sleeping is aggravating.

The codine cough syrup seems to have helped me sleep better...didn't even have to get out the bed and sleep in the recliner in the front room to let the wife get her rest. Love the tilt action on the bed we have...lets me almost sleep like I'm in my recliner and not flat on my back.

63 degrees and cloudy this morning in the swamplands and just found out we get to watch the 5yr old Dennis the Menace today because he still has the flu.

I'm tired of this rain also Monty..between being in Houston for 5 days and then back home I haven't seen the sun in almost 2 weeks!!

Coffee time for me!

Good morning truckers!

Looks like we are going to have another sunny day here!

Eric, $15,000 mistake Wow! What are mist eliminators in the filter house.

Don, I'm glad to hear the codine cough syrup worked. What kind of bed do you have that tilts? Hope Dennis the Menace isn't too much of a hand full today!

Roy should be at the hospital by now!

Best wishes to all with pains.
Tim, you scare me into thinking my knee is tolerable.

Cold here, but blue skies, I've had a couple old heaters die. 12-14 years old, So I'm not going to try and fix them again. I tried to buy another kerosene heater yesterday, But no stores have any left to sell. Lowes still had a Propane heater, But its more difficult to find propane, I can buy diesel any gas station and it works in the Kerosene heaters just fine. But I may have to grab that propane heater just for some heat.

Heavy D's house is not insulated yet and it's cold to spend the day working. Probably get the 4 way inspection next week and insulation the week after that. Hopefull the gas company gets the gas meter installed and I can turn on at least the radiant floor heat to take the chill out of the house.

Good morning again guys!

I've been playing cards(battle) with Brody aka Dennis the Menace and caught him cheating!. I told him in days past card cheating would get you shot so I shot him! Kidding of course.

Tim..we replaced the lower part of the tilt bed this past year with a whole new tilt assy and I forgot the brand. It works great and has two separate sides that tilt up or down. I sleep better with it elevated with my COPD but I'll elevate the lower part if my feet and ankles swell up any. Wish I had one in the camper!

You guys have fun with the heaters and I'm having fun with the AC unit running...humid and in the 70's right now.

Good morning Andre!

Here's another film clip from the American Truck Historical Society about trucking in the 50's if anybody cares to watch. West Coast Express so they probably hauled in some of your areas.

From what I can tell it takes about 3 month to start getting a good nights sleep, and after 6 month things are trucking along pretty good and at the 1 year mark your glad you had it done. Going into it I thought yeah right can't be that bad. Well after the first two weeks the pain isn't that bad but, it is enough that sleeping at night is a problem. A year from now I will let you know if it s worth it! From what I hear it will be!
