Good morning, crew!! Another great day here in sunny AZ!!!!!! Bright sun. No wind.........NO SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.........NO COLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have been visiting with a friend here for a couple years about keeping his eyes open for a small metal lathe, just something to play with.
Well, he recently made a trip back tp Pennsylvania.....and came home with one of these!!!!
It is not in this good of condition, and doesn’t quite have all the goodies.........but got it for $60!!!!!!!!! Yup, that is correct!
Spent a few hours yesterday at his place cleaning things up and squirting a LOT of PB Blaster on things. Everything seems to be tight....as in not worn out.....and everything on it seems to work......don’t know about electric motor yet. It has a 3/4 HP 3 Phase on it. Will see what a 110V 1HP single Phase reversible motor costs. Don’t really want to spend money on a converter, not knowing if the motor is any good.
Then to spend money on some tooling, etc. between him and I, we already have dial indicators, micrometers, dial calipers and such stuff. Just something else to play with!!
All have a great day and week. Later
