Godd morning, crew! Or maybe afternoon for a bunch of you!
Took a young man out for a little scenic ride through the desert early this morning. The son of one of my riding partners, got out there before it got too warm.made a nice little 2 1/2 hour loop. Ended up at “pecker point”!
Then there is the question of the day!!
All have a great rest of the Monday!! Later.

Pecker Point??
Andre, after having spent a few days washing, polishing and waxing the RV a couple of months ago, I can understand being beat with the jobs you did. I still haven't tackled those tasks on my truck, because besides going into heat stroke while trying to detail it, there's just a WHOLE LOT of real estate on it - which means more work.
Jim, I didn't worry about direct sun, but I'm sure it would at least need to be cool when applying it in direct sun. Otherwise, I would guess adhesion could be a problem. When I did my roof, the highs were still low 80's as I recall. I would start as soon as the dew dried off of it in the mornings. The actual coating process (all 4 coats) was fairly quick and easy - after everything I had done up to that point anyway.
Desert Don, that meeting area doesn't seem well endowed. Maybe it was cold that day?
Swamp Don, I have about had my fill of heat and humidity lately, as well as the lack of rain. It would appear that we may break the drought next Sunday and Monday though, as another tropical system is expected to come into Texas by then. It's too bad we can't get the same amount of annual rainfall, spread out among 30 or 40 more days per year.
Tonight is my last night shift at the perfume factory before a few days off to do chores at home and more prep work on the RV for the G2G. The perfume is still sweet. Have a great evening all.

Evening gang! As of now, I'm sitting here listening to the rain. It's been a great day with a reasonable breeze and cool feel to it. Temps in the low '90s so far. Wishing the family was here with me, but they will be in 3 days.
The truck did amazingly well coming over here yesterday as I averaged a little over 3/4 mpgs better than any other time.
Beach storms are common around here, but this one is booming quite a bit.

Doug...even by South Louisiana standards this June so far has been hot and humid...more like July and August. We just started getting rain this past weekend so it looks like our wet season is here too. With the water in the Gulf heating up I think we'll be in for some bad hurricanes this year. Have fun at the perfume factory!! I don't miss shift work at all...14 yrs was enough for me.

Montana owners get together...where's Roy?
In Montana - fixing his Montana?!!
We skipped spring here for sure and went straight into August. The forecast is now calling for a tropical system to hit Texas this coming Sunday and/or Monday. At least we will break the drought - although we tend to do that with flood events here and this should hold to that standard.
Monty, looking forward to beach pics with scantily glad ladies basking in the sun's rays! The ladies basking on the beach in Kentucky WON'T be the same!

Glad to see Monty enjoying his time off! Great pic buddy!
Doug...I couldn't imagine doing an RV! OMG that would be torture! My shoulder is jut now starting to feel better. I didn't clay the Fiat last year and I paid for it this year. I try to to the vehicles each Spring. I was lazy last year I guess.
New saw arrived! It was as advertised! I'm a happy camper

Andre, I need to let a low life steal my tools every few years to give me an excuse to upgrade to the newer stuff. Looks like a nice stand. But I've found the collapsable roll around stands don't lower enough to fit under my Tonneau cover.
I guess there are some Hurricanes/tropical storms pushing ashore in Baja and that may push some rain into Northern Utah. Lets hope we are really dry and the forest fires are already breaking out and burning
Hay prices are going up this year as water is scarce and farmers fear for smaller cuttings on their second and third cuts. I usually buy half my hay in June and half in September ( after I've fed off a bunch of what I bought in June to make room) But I'm thinking I may want to buy it all now incase prices do jump.
My PJ Flatbed equipment trailer that I also haul hay on it is falling apart. I had a cross member under the bed break a weld last week. Took it into the welder and had him weld it back together. He had to replace a lot of the metal because everything had rusted thru. Hum, My tires have lasted 12 years but the metal frame is rusting apart. May be time to sell old trailer and buy a new one
