I didn't take many pics to share so it didn't really happen.....
We just got back from the hot trip south. Charlotte area for a few days, visiting family. Then Myrtle beach area for a few.
Ocean was great place for a walk in the heat. A few stops in the Smoky's. Left Columbia SC. yesterday morning and got home last night, around 2300.
Forgot to check the miles but trip ave including lots of idling time, was 18.5.
100 miles from home I got the "change oil soon" message. So I pulled the plug and punched the filter at midnight. Great to be home !!

Roy, I had not done that at the time of the writing, but I have now !!
BTW it's 13 qts. on the 6.7 not 14. And yes I even remembered the plug !!
The trip mileage was 2529. plus the trip to the dells of 700. was on the MPG average of 18.5
I figured our loaded weight of truck, fuel, topper, people and luggage, at about,
10,700 lbs. Truck had no problem leading the traffic through the mountains or construction zones. LOL

Sorry Tim.........I was not clear.

The number of Qts. has changed........
I did not mean to infer that you had it wrong.....

My 2011 used less oil to fill than my current 2015.

You know Roy, you might be on to something as I thought it was just me that needed more oil than before....

I just fill it until the dipstick tells me to stop. and then come back after a short drive and recheck it.
