Spedo stopped working & tranny is acting up
My truck is a 97 F350 Dually with the EFI 460.
This is wierd.
I changed my paper air filter, the old one was the definition of old & ready to be changed.
Along with the air filter change, i put in a new oil filter and switched over to synthetic oil.
after i was done i took the truck around the block then onto a main road...
it started switching gears at really high or low rpm's and wouldnt down shift smooth when i slowed down. When i took off from the stop light it hessitated and continues to stumble at every take off like its a manual with a 16 year old girl driving. the spedometer stopped working aswell...
i am completly lost on this one...help!

Sounds like your vehicle speed sensor went bad to me.
It is located on the top of your rear differential.
You may want to check for engine codes as well.

Also, as this is more a vehicle issue then an engine issue, you may want to post in the 87-96 forum next time.
