Removing the radio might gain you sufficient clearance to get back there for switches.

I saw switches like that at Auto Zone yesterday. They have red and blue available.

Have you posted pictures anywhere of the metal cover plate that you fabricated for your dash? I'm going to do something similar and wondered how you approached this. Thanks.
