the guy opened it right in front of me showed me what too look for and said it was fine
Excellent !!!!!!!
We've just eliminated those possibilities....good job.
Now, if we all got this correct. The truck idles o.k. but drives badly.
What happens if it's in park and you slowly rev (throttle up) the engine (not driving) ??? Does it sputter, miss and kick, or what ??
Just for kicks try unplugging the EGR valve (you'll get a cel and a code) and do the slow throttle up and tell us what happens.
Remember: your engine needs air, fuel, and spark.
You seem to be getting spark o.k. at this point.
I went back and re-read and saw you were getting the correct amount of fuel (pressure) too.
The above is a check to see if you are getting the correct amount of air.
New fuel pump and filter read first post I said that already ....... Not being a smarty just saying I'm stumped
Gotcha, I didn't take it that way.
I know you said the fuel pressure checked out within spec, but, even though you put in a new fuel pump, the question remains as to why isn't there constant fuel pressure going to the injectors for "more or less than a minute"???
Do you have a Haynes repair manual that you can guide you (or someone else experienced in your year of truck reading this) on how to do a "leak down/pressure hold test" ????
I did the leak down pressure test pressure stayed constant like manual said ............ Omg I'm getting stressed with this I just wanna pull my camper with it ........

First off, good job on the leak down test.
That eliminates another scenario.
Second, once again, be patient, all of this testing to narrow down your problem may take a while.
Now, you've got spark. Do you know if the spark is "hot" all the way till the engine dies ??? Not verified yet.
You've got fuel and pressure. Verified
Try an air test.
Try and unplugging all of the vacuum lines on the vacuum tree, cap off all the opened ports and start the truck and see what happens (rev the throttle if you can too).
Next, I'd back probe the TPS and see what kind of voltage is there (hopefully you have a digital volt/ohm meter) and compair it to what the Haynes manual says is acceptable. That reading goes directly into the computer where the computer adjusts the injector pulse amongst other things. I know you put a new one in but we gotta' make sure.
Are you sure the O2 sensor and circuit is functioning correctly ???
The Haynes manual has some good testing info.
If the O2 sensor/circuit doesn't report good information (ie. lean or rich condition) back to the computer, it'll do odd things like STALLING etc.
Give the above a try and let us know what happened.
Try switching the horn relay with the fuel pump relay and see what happens.
A weak/failing fuel pump relay will give the symptoms of running out of gas.
Just thinking that if the FP relay is weak/failing while the pumps are suppose to be running................

I'm going to bed.........,

And also try switching the computer (EEC) relay with the horn relay.
If the EEC one is failing......hummmmm........could be.
