I will be sending out my trucks plates for refurbishment here shortly.

fordpt is starting off with a positive reputation.
I see the pictures of your overdrive. If you ever want to part with it I'd give you 6 grand for it. What is the model # and serial #? Should be on a plate attached to the rear cover plate if nobody has removed it.

Not ready to sell yet, thank you for the offer, just wanted you know of this overdrive, would be super sweet install pn a 4x4. To much snow to get in the enclosed trailer to get the # but will some day.

It does make a sweet install on a 4x4. If you do ever want to part with it I hope you keep me in mind. Or, if you hear of another one available...

That was for just the overdrive, not the truck, but I think you know that.

I've got the NP205 almost torn down. Experimenting with paint. The swatch is Rustoleum red primer. Probably close enough.

I've read that Chrysler red (or maybe orange, IDK) was really close to the same color. When I finally goat all the junk blasted off my t-case and transmission, they looked like new.

I dropped in to Bel-Kirk Mustang the other day to pick up some Ford wiring harness clips. They mostly deal in reproduction parts, but they have a small counter near the door with some NOS parts. I must have a PCV valve fettish as I couldn't resist this one.

<O</O

I've also been working on getting to the rear main seal on the 300 in my white truck. Pulled the trans last weekend and the throwout bearing. Started looking the bearing over for numbers and found this stamped on it.

Cool. For the price I couldn't let it just sit there. Still looking for the EV-6.

You had also said this. Which is most accurate for my application? EV-6 or EV-8?

That'll go in my red truck which is currently my daily driver so no motion on that for now. I'll be sure to let you know when I make some headway or get it installed. Even with the 4.56 gears I can hit 70 on the freeway right now. The old 352 is running decent.

The day before I pulled my 352 I took her out on the highway and held her to the floor. I chickened out at 90. The 352 never missed a beat.

No doubt. I'm at about 4K at 70. Not sure what it would take to get to 90 but probably about 5.5K. I wouldn't want to hold it there for long. But, I have the 427 side-oiler that I hope to put in with the GV. Goal is 120.
