Nick,
That Black Walnut looks great! I have made several things with it recently. I like the natural look with a clear varnish too.
Regards,
Chris

I tried to on the wheel tubs. I got a really nice looking fauxtina, but I couldnt get it to match the bed. I decided just to do flat black since thats what Im gonna do on the bed strips too.

Almost done getting the bed floor set up. I bought a bead roller from eastwood to make this end cap. I tried to emulate the tailgate. I am debating cutting the ford script out of the two extra tail gates I have and welding them into the two outside squares. I dont know if I will be able to control the warping though with the flat panel. The filler neck is going to come through the center square.

I also started on the outside border for wood. I got the front part done, now I just have to do the back part.almost ready to start putting the finish on the wood!

Your doing a great job.... and nice touch on the step down it looks good. Wish I was closer I could have used parts of your old floor to repair mine.... I still like the orig steel floor in the beds.... everyone want to remove them and add a wood bed just make mine different then everyone else!

I couldnt be happier with how the bed turned out! Now I just hope the wood holds up pretty well.
