Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and have a fuel issue with my truck. It's a 84' f-250 6.9 with the dual fuel tanks. When i am on the front fuel tank it runs fine for the first quarter, but after that when I am on the freeway and ease my foot off the gas pedal too fast, the engine begins to stutter and seems to lose fuel. After the tank gets below half it begins to do this around the city, but none of these problems occur when I run the rear tank. Any help you guys can give would be appreciated, thanks.
From the little I have read on these forums, I would say you have the infamous 'broken fuel pick-up' issue which is remedied by dropping the tank and replacing the pick-up with a piece of hose. Do a search for more info.
