Some pics and video of my '60 F-100

I've been working on this truck for quite a while in a desert town outside of Vegas...met some great guys out there, guys that have been around old cars and trucks forever and want to pass their knowledge on to anyone willing to learn. I couldn't have gotten this far without them, so to all of you gearheads out in Pahrump, NV a sincere thank you!

A short video of the old girl rolling home thru the desert:

Here's a longer one...doesn't show much of the truck, but it was all about the experience of a cruise thru the desert on a gorgeous day in an old classic:

And a few pics:

Thrifty, if you're looking at this, thanks buddy!

What a great truck, a classic beauty ! Love the two-tone colour ...

Is it really a 60 ? Looks like a mix of a 60 hood, a 59 grille and a 58 turn light.
What´s about the interior ? Let´s have a look inside ....

Walkee,
Thanks! You know your 57-60's. It's exactly as you described -- 60 Hood, 59 grille and 58 lower valance.my personal preference from each year. Technically it's a 60 though. Interior is nothing special. It's more driver than show truck....not perfect by any means.

TLB, I was in EP last summer visiting. My brother said he sees your truck from time to time...she's a beauty!

Tumblindyce; Its been awhile. Your truck looks perfect to me! What an inspiration for me to move a little faster on mine. I like that cruise out past Redrock, Bluediamond and Pharump, looks like where your video was shot. Is that a 58 or 59 grille? Also I like the way your wheels and tires fill the wheel wells, are those BFG 255 85 16's! I want them as tall as possible but not real wide, thats the size I have been considering for mine.

You´re welcome, Tumblin` ...

Are there 58 wings on the truck too or did you "customize" the 60 wings for the round turn signals ?

I´m sure your interior is as nice, neat and shiny as the whole exterior ! Keep on rollin´ through Redrock canyon ... was a pleasure to see the video.

Ooops, yeah 58 grille, fenders and lower valance. The tires are BFG Mudders I had on my Jeep...255/75R/17's on Dodge Ram 1500 wheels...I have 1 1/2" wheel spacers on the truck. The tires are around 32 1/2" tall. Would be perfect on your 4x4 Teddy.

Hey Doug,
She looks good going down the road. All the MONTHS you spent driving back and forth from Vegas to Pahrump. That's a true gearhead!!! Tell you what you are just as picky as I am, I'm sure why we get along so well. His truck not only looks good going down the road is sounds awesome!!!! The detail that went into everything. The truck is rewired and he did a very good job. Still here in Palermo N.D. Should be headed to New Mexico for 2 weeks to build some switches, then to Waco Texas for a while? Of course that can change by the morning. Doug I am looking for a front crossmember from a 2003-2007 Crown Vic. or police Int. Looking to put it in the 60 er 57 . First gotta finish the 56.

Later,
Jonesy

Very nice. A pleasure to watch roll down the road. It looks so solid. And I couldn't even see a DVD player hanging down from the ceiling!LOL!!

That is one terrific driving/hauling machine!

The two tone is killer! And who doesn't love a truck with a great stance on oversized rubber. Great job, and I'm jealous of that desert sunshine as well.....

On my f350 I went from a stakebed to a flareside and didn't have to drill a single hole. They were already in the frame for perfect alignment. I bet the f100 frames were drilled for all options as well.
