6.2L and 37s

I have a 2011 F-250 crewcab with a 6.2L and 3.73s, I'm considering putting a 4.5" lift on and a 37s. I wanted to know if anyone is running the same setup and what you think of it? Was there a big power loss? What kind of mpgs are you getting? Any other thoughts? I have no plans for re-gearing the truck, however I was thinking about adding a 5-star tuner to help compensate for the larger tires.

Thanks

No real problems. Lost about 2 mpg. You can notice the tires over stock but not bad really. The only time I really notice them is on mountain road where it will drop down to 4th instead of 5th and it will hunt gears a little more. Don't waste the money on the tuner to compensate for tires do the gears. If you have the smaller tires 4.30s will put you back to stock with 37s. I haven't found a clear answer on a retrofit of of the older 10.25 gears which would greatly open the ratio options. Also if you ever flex the truck go for the 6 inch lift.

What tuner were you using? I heard the 5 star was really good, maybe not as good as gears, but a big help. What lift and tires do you have?

Thanks

The tuner I have is from 5 star. I wasn't too hot about it but others like it. Gears are the only real cure for bigger tires

Front drive shaft issue ?

Is there any front drive shaft-catalytic converter rubbing issue with a 4,5 inch lift ?

With a 4.5 lift I'm not sure. The 6 inch will rub once the suspension moves. The best way around the problem is to delete the large dual in single outlet muffler. Cut the bracket that holds the two pipes together so you can twist the driver's side pipe away from the driveshaft. Get a y pipe from an exhaust shop and hook back to the rest of the existing exhaust.
