Could use the newer style plastic "wedge" retainer that clamps the bottom lip of the battery. Then there's nothing going over the top and only have to put in a nut for the wedge's retainer bolt.

I just went out and looked. Unfortunately there is not enough room left to right to run that style of clamp. I'm going to make a spacer to shim it up front to rear and make or buy the top clamps.

Oh man, I was hoping you would re-locate batteries back under the bed, so I could see how to do mine. Plus more room under the hood for the other turbo..........

Nice safety wire co., used to that low end yet? Can start in third now

The passenger battery is out of the way enough it wouldn't efect a second turbo. They basically get stacked on top of each other.

Yes she has some mighty low end for sure. I start in second because 1st is a pretty much a granny gear. I'm sure I could get going in third easily.

She spins the tires way too easy for sure. I don't mean to do it they just chirp away. The thing that blows me away is how effortless the power is. She doesn't have the big heavy truck feel anymore on acceleration.

I like when guys put the primary up top where the battery goes, that way you can show off that thing you spent money on instead of hiding it, its not for everyone.

I remember crawling up the side of this skid road in first 4x4 hi, it was probably little less than a half mile, but the whole way up I thought I had my foot on the throttle. I get to the top and realize my foot was resting on the carpet on the tunnel and my truck was idling up the side of the mountain the whole time. I about ran into the back of my father in law because it kept going when I figured it would have stopped letting off the go pedal.
Anyway sorry for the tangent, but that was my first experience with low end lol. Truck was a 95 psd 5spd, 3.55 gear with 35in tires.

With my set up the way it is the primary would be in the same spot just higher. I would flip my exhaust manifold over so the primary would be up high, with the secondary below and to the rear of the primary.

I obviously don't have everything finished enough to test her out yet, but with the 460 in 1st and the 205 in 4 low I could idle up a whole lot of stuff. She has a hell of a lot more low end now.

Is that an overflow bottle bracket made of 1/8" gusseted plate, held on by grade 8 zinc coated bolts?

I am a fan of overkill...but wow....LOL

Looks very professional as always!

Yes, actually it's 3/16" plate. I had the steel already so there it went. I hardly ever have stuff thinner then 3/16". I did hole saw a big a$$ hole in it to make it a little lighter. The grade 8's I buy in bulk so that's what I use mostly.

Co the primary is the big turbo. The one you have now would be the secondary in a compound set up. The big one is the primary because that's the atmosphere charger that feeds the little guy.

Yes, you are correct. Got them backwards. My smaller turbocharger is the secondary. The primary is the larger charger. The larger primary is used to feed the smaller turbo in a compound set up.

As I stated above if I eventually upgrade to twins It would be my dtech 62 up top as the secondary and an ht3b or an s400/475 below. I always forget it's not exhaust flow its the pressure side that dictates primary and secondary.

Your truck is quite the celebrity there co425.

Or there is just a core group of die hard fans that check every few hours for any new updates...

With 100,000 views did I earn a sticky for my thread.

Still more to come..... I got some 4" stainless exhaust tubing today. More on the way Monday. The fuel sump comes Thursday. I should have that buttoned up by next weekend. I'll hopefully have an update by Tuesday.

Left to go:

Exhaust
Battery hold downs
Seats
Horn
Cables for grid heaters

Not too shabby. Thanks for watching.

Alrighty! Exhaust is done.

Pic of the muffler 4" Aero Turbine 404xl.

Took a pile of 4" stainless mandrel bends and cut them to fit. Mock up.

Pulled out for welding.

After a long spell of welding. Done!

And installed. Sorry dark pics.

And a little idling video.

Overall I'm happy with the install. It's tucked up as tight as it's going to get. It was a pain to get the angles right and some of the welding gave me fits. Mainly the exhaust tip because the inlet was quite a bit bigger then it needed to be. Filling those gaps was a bear.

I'll post up a driving video soon.
