Well I did it now...

I ended up getting a FM70 put on yesterday to replace my 40. Very happy about it! Perfect tone, quiet when I want, rumbling and roaring when I wanna hear it!

Glad to hear you decided with that one. We have a Flowmaster on our 1986 F150 302 4x4 and so far it has been pretty good. But it is quite all the time never gets loud. If you want a loud truck we just fire up our 1984 B2 4x4 with no cat pipes and has a thrush pack with pipes on the stock pipes. Not to mention I am liking the Banks power pack on our 02 V10. Man all I am missing is magna flow on one of the trucks LOL. Anyways that is a nice muffler as far as I have seen.

I really liked the way the banks monster exhaust sounded. Just didn't wanna drop the $$$ on it when I had a perfect exhaust just the wrong muffler

The PO put a custom catback system on with a flowmaster 40 si/do exiting behind the rear tires

I will do one in the morning and post it. It'll be a cold start and maybe I can try and get one running through the gears in cab or something

I bought the Flowmaster from a local race shop. Someone returned it with no box so i got it for $40 even Then i cut out the old muffler with my sawzall and clamped it up and took it to my buddies exhaust shop and paid $10 to weld it up

When the Flowmaster rusts out in a couple years(NW Indiana salty roads) I'll probably go with another FM70 but go back to a single 3.5" exhaust.
