2012 F-250 SD Super Cab Lariat w/ 8' Bed

Howdy, My new F-250 Super Cab Lariat is due to arrive in a week or so. I have owned Super Crew F-250 Lariats w/ short beds of course, but this is my first F-250 Lariat Super Cab w/ an 8' bed. The 8' bed is more practicle for my situation. Anyone out ther got one? Like to hear sum feedback on this beast. Yeah, its a gasser. 6.2 Thanks

I had two like you describe, 06 and 09 both great trucks just remember you have the extra length I hopped a few curbs before learning, I now have a long bed crew cab and it's a bit longer.

My 2000 and 2003 were short beds. When Ford redid the front suspension inb 2005 and those and newer long beds turn better than the older short beds, I bought a 2006 and now a 2011 long bed. I've never regreted having a long bed.

It follows me everywhere

Those Amp steps sound pretty cool, pricey?

They are, but to me they're worth every penny. Wife and kids can climb in with ease and not having anything hanging down gives the truck a higher looking stance.

I got mine off of amazon, also got a free bed extender from amp during a promo they were having.

2012 F250 Lariat super cab 8 foot bed

I had my 2012 F250 Lariat super cab with 8 foot bed delivered in February. I previously had a 2003 F150 super cab with 8 ft bed. Great for carrIng 2 pallets, 8 ft plywood sheets, etc. and being able to close the tailgate. Like another said "watch the turns". I do not remember if the rear TV and rear "sonic radar" was standard or option with the Lariat, but would never have another truck without it.
FWIW. The Ford factory applied bed liner coating is GREAT!
I currently have about 7500 pleasant driving miles on my 250

Tony, Thanks for the feedback. I have ordered the backup sensor as part of a package but I did not go with the upgrade that includes the screen for GPS and camera. Nother 900+! Guess I'll just have to be real cool backing up towards objects, and take those right hand turns like the big boys. Thanks again.

My '08 was a long bed, and I loved it. It took a little bit to get used to, but when I did, it was no different than my shortbeds. I had the backup sensors on it, and only have the backup camera on my '11 (shortbed). I much prefer the backup sensors. Maybe because I was used to them and knew how they worked. This camera is pretty screwey. After 9 months, I am finally starting to get the hang of it, but I would sure like to have my sensors back.
