Really could use a tip for Spark Plug Removal (5.4 Triton of course)

Talk about dumb luck... I get 7 out of 8 plugs changed, and the 8th is stuck/stripped. It will not come out or tighten back up. But it is not broken off as I can tell. So,,,, any ideas????
If I have to go with the fix-it kit, I am just a little curious about what you do with the pcs that fall into the cylinder. I really need to get this resolved quick.
Thanks!

I would post this in the modular engine forum. Lots of spark plug help/info there. Wish I could help you more, good luck!

Actually, I used an impact wrench on it and the vibrations made it shimmy out. I ran a tap through the threads, and new plug is nice and snug. I got REALLY lucky! Thanks

there were 2 generations of problem spark plugs in the 5.4. one generation blows out due to only having 3 threads holding to the head, the other generation breaks off on removal, leaving the bottom half in the head. yours sounds like the first one i described, in which case its likely to burp out sometime in the future. when this happens, you'll need to get a heli-coil kit designed for this purpose, and enjoy your fight installing it. i did it once on a chebby, and another time i walked a guy through the process over facebook messaging. the one i did was off the vehicle, the other was on. both were successful.
hope you don't have to go there, but if you do, seek advice first!

Soon as I got all the mechanicals done, I am putting the biggest for sale sign ever on this van. Then I am going to search for one with a 4.9 inline. I've had enough already.!!!!!!
