Fuel tank selector valve

My fuel tank selector valve is broken.
Everytime i switch to the rear tank the engine starves, cause to the lack of fuel.

I changed the positions of thte fuel lines on the valve with the effect that i can drive on the rear tank and not on the front.

I opened the valve to see where it's jammed or damaged, but found nothing.

So i bought at Summit the Valve SMP-FV1 (electric valve), but i have overseen that the valve has only 3 connections -> so it is for vehicles without return lines.
In other words: for carburated engines.

So the question is: Do i need a second one or does anyone know how to fix the old version with the membrane?

I got rid of the front fuel tank, rear 22gallon is enough ,put new rear tank, sending unit and pumps, no more selector valve, plus you get room to route exhaust pipes down the left side, no selector valve to ever worry about,,, good luck

Well, i've been thinking about throwing out the selector valve and just connect the intake and return lines with an Y-connector, but that makes it a bit pointless because the fuel will be distributed into both tanks to the same level.

Means: if one tank is empty, the other tank is empty too.
I like to know that there is "an unused reserve"

All 3 Pumps are new -> the pump in the front tank has burned inside the tank
the sending units are new, cause the float ***** have been rusted through.
The inside of the rear tank looks good, the front tank was rusty inside but i removed all by using citric acid.

I don't want to change anything at the exhaust anymore.
Maybe I install a high flow cat.
But I already have a Magnaflow muffler and two 3,5" exhaust tips in front of the right rearwheel.
Sounds aggressive but not too loud.

they do make the valves in a 6-port variety to meet your needs, sounds like you just got the wrong one.

if you want the reserve of a second tank, but for whatever reason don't want do get the selector valve in the usual way, you could simply install a transfer pump from one tank to the other
