1986 f-150 Stepside Fuel Filler Hose Assembly
Help! I am screwed by the CA DMV! My '86 F-150 Stepside won't pass smog. It fails the evac by.006 and needs a new fuel filler hose which is no longer available. I need part # E4TZ9034B. Can anyone out here help me? I don't want this great old ranch truck to be crushed but the once great state of ca does. Save the beast

Dual tank trucks are exempt from that evac test.
The evac test has been known to make parts in the evaporative system fail on occation as they pressurize the system and crimp off hoses that are 30+ years old. They will argue that it was about to fail anyway etc...
Good thing though is the midship tank filler hose is the same 1984-1986 as CTUBUTIS describes, and for trucks with or without dual tanks. So you have some options on finding one in the wreckers.

fuel filler hose
HI: I am new to this but I have an 84 step-side that I am putting a tank behind the rear axle & I still have that filler hose.
Again I can not read the numbers on it but is about 28 inches long with a black about 3/4 in hose down the center.
If you thing that is what you need then just pay the postage & I will wrap it & send it to you, again I am not sure it is what you want.

It would still need to hold pressure during the smog test.
I agree with Franklin2.
If the smog shop can't tell it's different, and it works as it's supposed to, then that should work fine.
Never did understand the banality of California Smog laws and swapping parts. It has to be exactly like original, or have an EO number, etc... All they should care about is clean air, not red tape.

Considering how old this post is I doubt he would still have it.
I haven't been that desperate myself but below is a site that sells the parts to cobble together a replacement filler hose for the 80-86 flareside trucks.

Note the fuel door on the flare side is different than the style side trucks.
I have installed a rear tank in my flare and used a combo of Ford truck parts.
Parts I had to pick from.
Someone butchered my flare front tank fill. They cut the metal neck short and had some sort of longer rubber hose.
Had a flare side front fill from door on down to the tank. This also had part of the fender I grafted to the rear of my flare side fender.
Style side front tank from door to tank and the tank too.
Style side rear tank from door to tank and the tank too.
I don't remember just what parts were used where but I started with the front tank and took what fit the best. I think it was the style side front parts?
On the rear I grafted the door to the fender so I knew where it would be to connect A & B to fill C LOL
The neck was a short straight part. I had a straight rubber hose on the tank and it came out past the frame rail.
I also had a 90* rubber hose. This goes from the tank hose, using exh pipe to join the 2, and the short straight neck bolted to the fender.
The inner plastic hose I had to use 2 to make 1 and I used copper pipe & hose clamps to join the 2 together.
Front filler
Rear fill
